First exposure to Ross Noble  — 2 years ago

    Worth visiting!

This always does me and my partners head in. We were in Oz in 2002. We’d planned to go to the comedy festival, as although we were visitng family in Sydney, we flew into (and therefore were flying out of) Melbourne. So on the return we wanted to see a comdeian at the festival. We were watching tele one night whenone of the comics at the festival came on. One Ross Noble…a Geordy and someone we’d not seen before. So, we went and saw him, and he was brilliant.

You go half-way around the world, only to see a home-grown comic at the Melb. festival! But he was well worth it, and we’ve seen him twice since!

It’s great for comedy. There is always DOZENS of acts on. Go and see someone if you can. The annual debate is always good too.

20th Melbourne International Comedy Festival  — 3 years ago

    Worth visiting!

OK, strictly speaking speaking, I’ve been to this already several years ago, in a moment of serendipity while visiting Australia. And it was a lot of fun

The 2006 Melbourne International Comedy Festival is going to be lucky number 20. It seems an appropriate opportunity to go back, and spend more than just a couple of nights this time…
