Tompkins Square Park

I love the shape of the trees in this park, it’s like they were caught in a wind storm and got frozen in time.

a very nice, relaxing, and easily-accessibly park. spent a few hours reading there today and it was quite pleasant. i love watching people with their dogs and bikes and kids and ice cream cones, and this is an excellent spot to do just that.

A good park for relaxing and people watching. I eat lunch here a lot, even though it’s kind of a schelp from my house - there are a lot of good little places to pick something up around here. The park has two playgrounds, big basketball courts, dog parks for big dogs and little dogs, plenty of benches all around and actual grass you can sit on. Go on and mock me suburbanites, but it’s rare for Manhattanites to actually walk or sit on grass - definitely a good feature…

A must when in the East Village. Play some chess. Get some Indian food.
