Puna

this place has so much power within its existence. beautiful calm and peaceful beaches. little to no tourist traffic. the hilly roads cut through lush rain forest. and since there are no snakes, you can gallivant virtually care free…. bug spray is always good though. everyone is so laid back. a nice hippy-esque population. everyone is just really open and wonderful. for the most part. puna does have it’s gangs and stuff… give them enough intoxicants and any ha’ole becomes fresh meat. as long as tourists and any of the white folk who come here and respect the land and everything, then there is generally no problem. it’s all about respect. with respect comes hospitality.
