Mountain Rose Inn

Driving the Blue Ridge Parkway through North Carolina and Virginia is an exerience that is worthy of the investment. Cruising at a liesurly pace of 45 MPH allows you to forget about the hustle and bustle of “city life”. No commercial vehicles and very little traffic are difficult to realize in this day, but it is a reality along the parkway. Toward the northern end of the parkway is a place that seems lost in time. Nestled in the woods, just off a rural county road, is an inn that seems to welcome its guests with the beckoning call to forget it all. If you are ever in the area make it a point to visit the Mountain Rose in Woolwine, Virginia. It was an experience I will treasure always. This photo tells it all!
