Cape Girardeau

Its a college town. It has many bars and restaurants and a few little thrift stores. It has 2 hospitals, 2 theaters, multiple video stores and even a riverfront. But there’s virtually nothing you can do here without spending at least $20. Cape Girardeau is trying to attract tourism by changing certain spots (like the riverfront) to make them more presentable. This town used to have fun stuff to do, but it doesn’t anymore, and it was very disconcerting when they started trying to change things around. I would know because I grew up here :)

i got engaged here right next to the river… turned out to be one of the biggest mistakes of my life but it is a gorgeous place to experience.

I live about an hour out of cape. we no longer go to the mall the as it kinda sucks, but if we want to see a movie that’s not shown in the smaller theaters (like casanova on my b-day) then we head to cape rather than st. louis. my mom had her neck surgery at the hospital there.

Cape Girardeau is a really nice town. I live about 30 minute’s from there. It’s not a huge place or anything, but there is a mall, several restaraunt’s, Wal-mart, Target, K-mart, etc. Lot’s of history as well.

I live in the St.Louis Area now but I’m from the Cape Area and I go there Every summer to visit family and it is a Really nice area! Really pretty and lots to do!! It’s Really nice you just have to take a tour all around it and see what all they have because there is alot of fun family stuff or even just stuff to do with your friends. It’s a great Place and I love it there!! I wouldn’t trade a moment to not go to Cape!
