This is a lesser-known museum; but well worth a visit. If you find the regular tourist locations are a bit too crowded, take a few hours out of your day and stroll to this museum and enjoy the slower pace.

I’ve been going there for years whenever I needed a place to think, or relax, or admire things. Some of the sculptures are forgettable, but some are so powerful and beautifully done. It’s a small museum, with grounds larger than the actual building, and it’s on an intersection of very busy Philadelphia streets, but somehow the trees around there mask it. I definitely suggest a visit, as a local, and a regular of this museum. over 5 years agoI love the museum in Paris by wanderswithwhimsyWhy not dream of going to the one in Pennsylvania. over 5 years agoUntitled by supituxIt’s a wonderful collection of Rodin’s sculptures. However, you can run through the place in 5 minutes if you really wanted to… though you can probably spend an hour and a half if you really inspect each piece / have a deeper interest in sculpture or Rodin than the average passerby. I suggest a visit! Though you might want to make it just a stop on your way to the Philadelphia Museum of Art. over 6 years agoThe Thinker by Pattie A.Definitely worth a visit if you are an admirer of Rodin’s sculptures. $3 suggested donation for entry. over 6 years ago |
