The last time I went to this place  — 1 year ago

    Worth visiting!

We started off our holiday here in Sivota, a pretty village situated in the south of the island just a few miles sail from Vassiliki, which despite the tourism is worth a visit and definitely worth it if you’re a windsurfer. We didn’t spend too much time on the island as we island hopped but we did spent a night in Nidriana which has a lovely quiet beach and some nice places to eat. I’d highly recommend it to anybody heading to the Ionian :)

Much changed from the 70's  — 3 years ago

    Worth visiting!

I visited twice while married. It has changed quite a bit, since then, from what I’ve been told. Tourism has grown by leaps and bounds in the small town of Vlyho, bringing with it more prosperity and then some.
When I was there in the 70’s, they were just getting electricity in the homes! and running water! . . .
They were still dependent on the good old outhouse, at that time

    What fun, LOL.
You needn’t worry ‘bout that now, though. The food is great, always has been, alway will be if you know where to go, and its usually places the locals patronize, so just just make friends and follow them.
I wouldn’t mind going back someday, despite the ex~ ;)
