Sabino Canyon
This canyon is located on the edge of Tucson. I first visited Sabino Canyon in 2003, when I went to pay a visit to one of my best friends, who had then just recently moved to Tucson.
The canyon is a park, belonging to the city. Privately owned vehicles are not allowed in the canyon. There is a bus which makes frequent runs from the visitor’s center near the mouth of the canyon all the way up to the top. The bus stops at many locations along the way such as trailheads, picnic areas, and points of interest. You are free to get off the bus, and back on again as often as you would like in the canyon.
The canyon is very beautiful. I was surprised to see pools of water in the canyon, even though we were there in the heat of summer.
