Menomonie

I have lived a few different places and while Menomonie is not the best place I have ever been- it is one of the best and most managable. It has all the advantages of a small town yet the university keeps it interesting. UW Stout has a great art department so there are always openings and shows to attend. The Mable Tainter Theatre brings in a lot of performance art. The lake…well, the lake is getting better and you can use it most of the summer now.

The people are great. I never met such sweet people in one place before. When someone from Menomonie asks “How are you?” they really want to know. The best thing about the downtown are the students. I have a theory; creative people + nothing to do = fun! Menomonie is an eccentric little town.

Some of the best memories of my life happened here. Went to kindergarten & 5th grade at a teeny little country school, Little Elk Creek. I need to go back & visit my family & take my husband so he can see how beautiful the country is.
