Why I want to go to this place
Italia, Toscana, Cortona.
Pure white magic.
I have been a very scandinavian girl,
with deep roots in cold snow.
No lands with citizenships of sun
have never enticed me.
I understood my narrow-mindedness slowly.
Italian joie de vivre, nobility and broadness
have turned me into a humble learner of cosmopolitism.
Perche Cortona?
I have seen Audrey Wells`es “Under the Tuscan Sun”,
by a fortunate accident.
This film is still my – holiday.
I used to have a wallpaper from this movie on my computer
for a long while, to remind me that “amazingly good things
can happen, even late in the game”.
P.S.: Also, one of the views i found, italian views,
the last one, blue lake, has warmed my heart recently.

Why I recommend this place to visitors
I lived in this city for three months while studying abroad and would live there again in a heart beat.

The last time I went to this place
Visited Cortona right after they lit Christmas lights throughout the town. It was a foggy, but beautiful day. Try to explore every little nook and cranny. Wandering the random narrow streets, you’ll discover amazing views and a charming picture of Italian life. An interesting little adventure: walk the 30 minutes down the hill to the train station. We traveled on a holiday and had to resort to this slightly dangerous, but memorable little jaunt.

Worth visiting!
Discovered, but not overwhelmed
Much less crowded than the usual suspects further north. That impossibly dramatic Tuscan light everywhere. Charming people and a town that repays early morning walks.
