Scenic mode of Transportation
I have always enjoyed riding on a Washington State ferry. The summer trips to the cabin on Vashon Island from the Fauntleroy Dock and the many cross-Sound trips to Bainbridge Island from Coleman dock as well as the ferry from Mukilteo to Whidby Island. I rode the foot ferry from Alki to Seattle last summer & felt like I was on a MINI vacation! What a great alternative to driving downtown!

Wenatchee State Park is also a fabulous place to camp. Ferrys are always cool if you’re a hick from ND that hasn’t seen a whole lot of water.

Twilight cruise for two
About 3 years ago my wife and I drove about 1000 miles to Seattle because we were looking for somewhere to move. We liked it a lot, but it wasn’t until we were on the front of the Wenatchee coming back from a round trip to Bainbridge that we made up our minds to find a way to make it happen.

Seattle to Bainbridge
This is a great ferry which makes the run from Seattle to Winslow (on Bainbridge Island). Try out the sun deck or sleep on the extra long benches. Sail on, Wenatchee!
