Kenai Fjords National Park

Before the glaciers are all gone…

My husband and I are working our way through camping all the U.S. national parks, and I want to get to Alaska while there are still glaciers and permafrost.

Along with my girlfriend and son (15yo), we went on a 7 day camping/kayaking trip into KFNP last August. It was the trip of a lifetime. It was backcountry camping at its best. I highly recommend a trip into this area if you’re looking to lose yourself in nature. You’ll feel insignificant yet so alive!

I live in Alaska, and recommend that everyone go on a Kenai Fjord’s tour(boat tour) out of either Seward or Whittier.

This tour will provide you with close views of glaciers, a great chance to see a local pod of killer whales, see birds nesting on their own islands, and other sealife like seals and porpoise.
