I live here.

The only historical place here that I know of is the original KFC.

That’s pretty much it.

I wouldn’t recomend visiting here for anyone, unless they want to see a statue of Colonel Sanders and eat some fried chicken and mashed taters’

Harlan's folly by TajLV

Even if you aren’t big on KFC, it’s worth a stop in Corbin to see the original site of Harlan Sanders’ first restaurant. It still functions as a KFC outlet, but half the building has been turned into a museum full of old advertising, collateral materials, photos and a reconstruction of the original kitchen and office where the secret herbs and spices were tested and perfected. Sanders failed many times before KFC took off. It’s a testament to perseverence and ingenuity.

Great place by Mike Bryant

Great area, lots to do if you are the ‘outdoorsy’ type. If you are an urbanite that doesn’t like nature and mountain crafts/culture/music/etc this area probably isn’t for you.

Visit the birthplace of KFC, and find the moonbow! by shqippy

Yes, the moonbow. Look it up. A thoroughly charming, though tiny, town. Also track down Old Gerry’s Restaurant, the original home of the Whopper. (Ask them about the story.)
