Mechanicsville

Mechanicsville was selected #54 in Money magazine’s 100 Best Places to Live survey this year, which focused on small towns. The secret’s out!

This has got to be one of the best places I’ve been in VA. I’ve met some pretty awesome people here. :D
Believe me, I’ve met people that if I had never gone there, I would probably have never met, and they are truly life changing and amazing!

Thanks to an article in the Richmond Times-Dispatch:

that should be an option. I feel like such a snob when I don’t say I want to answer questions but all I saw was the turnpike. It was nice. Saw a concert there last night at the high school. A certain famous ex-resident came back to raise money for public school music programs. Rocked my world.

i was raised in the ‘ville. when i got married i convinced my new husband to stay in mechanicsville! we love it and plan to stay!

Not much to do for a tourist unless you are into Civil War battlefields, but a great place to live. :-)
