I only stayed in Athens for a few days, and on my last night I decided that I should go up to the Acropolis.
It wasn’t that late, it certainly wasn’t dark, but the souvenir shops had closed and there weren’t many tourists around.
I started to get hassled by some of the local guys, one was being friendly but at the same time asking if I was travelling alone etc.
I felt really unsafe and pretended to be meeting friends, called out to them and went on ahead.
Don’t walk around alone up there, even though it was fairly safe to do so in the town itself.
