The place was dark and packed – standing room only in the bar. No surprise here since the bar won Best of Boston 2008 Cocktail Menu but we sat a few stairs in the (also packed) dining room and ordered a bottle of red table wine. We started with the lobster bisque and a beet salad that had goat cheese and hazelnuts then shared some mac and cheese kicked up with chunks of bacon and Brussel sprouts and the mussels steamed in a Thai flavored broth.
The owner sent dessert – 2 plates of ricotta dumplings in chocolate hazelnut sauce.
