this place is my dream school for sure. i knew it the first time i visited. you can feel it in the air: the atmosphere of the place is so calm, relaxed, and good-feeling all-around. i know it’s got a rep as a party school, but i personally don’t really party, and i love it. if i ever feel the need to, however, there are plenty wherever i want it, haha. the thing is, your experience here is really what you make it. it can be miserable, or amazing. it can include hardcore-partying, hardcore-studying, or both! honestly, i know of enough people that do do both. the fact is, we’re the most intelligent and well-respected party school there is, and i love that about us.

As a current UCSB student, i’d like to take this opportunity to say that it is a great school, and i absolutely love it, and wouldn’t go anywhere else. It really is what you make of it. I’m a very successful global studies major, and santa barbara’s a fun city. Incredibly expensive, but a lot of fun. And since i am not entirely coherent and it is now nearly 4am (in the ucsb tradition, of course, lol) it is now time for bed.
