Muir Woods National Monument

Strenuous climb in elevation. Thin red woods past entry.

This was a beautiful place and I really enjoyed going here. This is a place Henry and I went to either while we were dating, or early in our marriage with just Hannalee.

I tried forever to get a good photo of the tree tops, but it just can’t be done because they’re so far up there!

One of the most beautiful places you will ever see. If you want to realize how great nature is, and how small you are (in a good way) then go to Muir Woods.

Absolutely magnificent! It’s one of the coolest places I’ve ever visited. It’s very quiet and peaceful. The trees are beautiful, you can even buy your own giant sequoia seedling to plant at home! Lots to learn, great place to spend a day or more wandering around. If you are visiting San Francisco, try to get a room near the woods the night before and get there early. You can have the place almost to yourself.

The grandeur and splendor of nature. Take a moment to talk to the trees. They’re older than you’ll ever be.

there’s something powerful and magical about trees this old and big. I’m hoping to get here around the end of July 2006.
