Seneca Rocks

The last time my family and I visited Seneca Rocks, we realized that one of the very tall spindly rocks had fallen since the last time we’d been there.
My husband and I “found” Canaan Valley (state park) while taking a road trip--and we just loved the area-it is beautiful, serene, peaceful, majestic—and for me, spiritual.

I would recommend going to this area in West Virginia to anyone….some people do climb Seneca Rocks, I never have, not having the skill to do so. However, I love seeing them all the same.

I became ill a few years ago and am no longer able to travel the distance it takes to get there—-but in my heart and soul, I will always carry the beautiful memories West Virginia gave me!

I have been here but I want to climb the rocks

I went here a while ago. Definitly a cool place to do some hiking, camping, and climbing.

This is truly a beautiful place to go. I’m scared of heights, but the trail is actually very easy and you just go back and forth up the mountain instead of climbing straight up.

This is a good place to go repelling, climbing, or just hike up and sit on the beautiful rocks.

Don’t stop at the observation deck, go higher!
