If going the bed and breakfast route, which I highly recommend, stay at the Arsenic and Old Lace. It’s right in the middle of Eureka Springs, has really cool hosts, and the rooms are of luxury hotel quality.

It’s like going back in time. In fact, it’s so nice, so unique, I wish I hadn’t mentioned it. Very beautiful and historical. by dlchickI’ve been here a few times when I had family living there. It’s a neat little town, there’s lots of shopping and down-home dining. Unless it’s changed since I’ve been there, there is not a Wal-Mart there. The streets are very narrow, since they were made during horse and buggy days, and there’s very little room to widen them because of the buildings. Perfect for motorcycles, terrible for hummers haha. There’s plenty to do to keep one busy for the weekend though, not to mention a couple of supposedly haunted hotels. over 5 years agoUntitled by ceridwens_descenti was mostly out in the woods camping during my stay here, but found the shopping district very fun! i found some very beautiful skirts and other fun stuff, along with a couple of very tasty pints. over 5 years agoUntitled by Camerakid08If you’re down there over the 4th of July, definitely go down to Lake Leatherwood, and stay somewhere that is run by a Thurman. Sparky’s rocks, too! over 6 years agoSee all 23 entries |
