Opening night 2005/06
Few back to Vancouver on Opening night of the 2005/06 NHL season
This was the only game in Vancouver during my 6 day stay so I just had to get a ticket. If your willing to pay over the top you will get in

Sight Lines
I got a tour of it once as part of a breakout session for work training, and we missed some parts of it, but we got to go to the broadcast booth as well as the player locker rooms. The doors to the locker rooms are 8+ feet high, designed as such for when there was NBA in Vancouver. I’ve seen multiple games there (basketball and hockey), saw Michael Jordan score 19 points in the fourth quarter to win the game for the Chicago Bulls, and only saw Canucks games in the nose-bleeds. That said, like any stadium built these days, there are no bad seats, really, and every sight line has an advertisement to look at, also by design. Not sure if I’m going to be attending a lot of games anymore, mostly for that reason-it used to be about the sport, not about being a captive audience for commercials-but it’s a great stadium for large professional sporting events.
