Runaway Bay

As a little girl I had dreamed of a beautiful Wedding on the beach. So when my boyfriend and I decided to get married this is where we went. Just the two of us. It was a nice change from your typical wedding chaos. The resort and beach were beautiful. We spent 8 days and 7 nights. The weather was hot, very humid, and it rained every dat but 2 of them. That is what you get durring huricane season. Even with the constant rain there was so much to do. The bar was always open so entertainment was never needed. Every bar has its own form of amusment from the drunk who can’t walk to the wet t-shirt contests by the beach. It was great and I would go back tomarrow if I could. It was a nice mix of people of cultures and ages. Even parents brought there teen children which I was not happy about with the nude areas. They were not my kids so I had no control over the situation but I would never take my kids. To much mature adult activities for teenage boys. It was a great time no matter what time of day something was always going on. I never slept!

I stayed here for a long weekend in 2001. I stayed at the Hedonism 3 resort. The road from the airport to the resort was a little shaky, but everything else was great.

11 miles west of Ocho Rios.

This is where my mother was born, and I would go there every summer for two months.

The air is scented with vanilla and almonds, fronted by coral and ocean, backed up by mountains.

I cried when I had to leave. Every time.
