This came from a book I read, the scenery was described so very vividly, made it seem very real, and very, very beautiful, unfortunately the book was also about a backpacking holiday that went horribly wrong when the people on the trip began to get picked off one by one by a mysterios psycho who had a penchant for stabbing them in the eyes with swiss army knives…

ah well, as long as I stay away from the psychos I’ll be grand I’m sure…

Because i like to be alone in mountains and that is the place remote enough for me. Kathmandu is also the right place for me I even would like to work and live there. I heard they need english speaking guides. I would need some resume help to guarantee my employment but it is worth it. The only thing i doubt about is avalanches:)

Annapurna by Athos

must be one of the most awe-inspiring places on earth. Its meant to take 22 days to do the circuit, but I did it in 28 – no point in rushing these things :-)

tolkien lived for two years in this area while he was writing the ‘lord of the rings’. and that’s how i always imagined the scenery in the books to look like. take your time, hike the annapurna round trek, and simply be in the mountains.
