amazing diving!!!.you can see everything underwater up there…

i was working in komodo for 3 years for TNC.and i did some dive master work in labuan bajo.dragonnnnnssss are big :)

I went in July, and they no longer feed the dragons because it was affecting their behavior, so you no longer get to see them eat.

Since they no longer congregate for food, it’s actually fairly difficult to spot one on Komodo island itself; get a boat to nearby Rinca island instead (part of the same park).

I went through a local travel agent on the ground at Labuan-Bajo in Flores (a good starting point to see the dragons), and I got it down to $100 for a two-day trip (alone on the boat with captain and hand, meals but no entrance fees included). However, the agent just went and got one of his buddies on the dock to take me. If you’ve got a tight budget, I’m sure you could get it for much cheaper by talking directly with the dock folk themselves, as this is a pretty standard trip. The snorkeling along the way in the park is tremendous as well.

I love nature and Indonesia (Komodo especially) is the paradise of the nature….and I want to see the last dragons on the world!!! (could be eaten after:)))

Nice beaches, ok hostels, and vicious komodo dragons. Well worth a visit and seeing the “dragons” eat a whole goat (I mean everything) is really spectacular.
