A review of this place

Kalsoy, one of the Faroe Islands, is connected with Klaksvik on Borðoy by car ferry. The trip over and back is sheltered and immensely picturesque – and at a passenger return fare of about £4 (£2 for pensioners) quite a steal.

The island consists mainly of a mountain ridge with villages on the east side connected by a road that goes underground for over half its total length.
