A review of this place: Rugby League Challenge Cup Final  — 11 months ago

    Worth visiting!

Ive just been to the Rugby League Challenge Cup final and what at day.
I wasn’t that impressed with the stadium on the out side its all steel and glass and i think they should have kept the two white towers but none the less .
On going inside i went up some escalators to our destination which entered to a very wide corridor filled with fast food and beer counters and a souvenir shop that sells programmes amongst other stuff. I never got any food here as its cheaper buying it from the food wagons on Wembley way but i did buy a larger for £3.50 which was flat and they had real problems with the beer pumps not working right also it took a long time to get served.
Inside though its another matter , the stadium is amazing , the seats comfortable the views brilliant and the acoustics deafening coming from the 85.000 supporters . Its a sensory overload and you can quite take it all in like it doesn’t seem real. But what a great day .
Overall if you can i would suggest going because once your inside its a sight you’ll never forget.
Its hard to a get a Mexican wave going though but when you do like we did , it just keeps going round and round and it’s a remarkable sight to see.

A tip I have about this place  — 1 year ago

    Worth visiting!

There is no vegetarian food at the new Wembley Stadium.

The food counters sell fish & chips, chicken & chips, cheeseburger (with or without chips) but nothing else. Not even chips on their own. There were mobile snack vendors selling chocolate or crisps but that’s not substantial or particularly healthy.

On the way into the stadium you are checked for drinks of any kind but you are allowed to bring as much food as you like in with you.

    Worth visiting!

I saw Muse (the best British rock band in many years) play the new Wembley Stadium last weekend.
I liked the old welcoming white towers but the new arch is amazing (and I didn’t like the pictures when I saw the designs before it was built). It looked fantastic at the end of the night all lit up – a bright white arch that we could see as we left the Wembley area on our tube train.

I saw England play football at the old Wembley Stadium.
The two white towers looked spectacular.

    Well...  — 2 years ago

the concert is no longer on but I realized there will be other concerts here so I will get to go here another time. It is a MK now and I am looking forward to it and need to sort out my accomodation.

i hope it is on  — 2 years ago

No trip to London otherwise and it has been booked since September last year so I won’t be happy if it doesn’t go ahead!

This might be off  — 2 years ago

Wembley staduim doesn’t look like it will be ready on time and I am not one bit pleased about that.
I bought the tickets 6 months ago and even booked the hotel then and have been looking forward to it. Was even hoping to get another couple of tickets for the concert on the 10th but it doesn’t look like it will happen.
I just wish they will get a move on with it as I don’t want to miss this concert, it was three years ago the last concert they did and it might be that long again so I won’t be happy if this show is cancelled as it is the last night of their tour and I want to be there for the last night. I hope I am! Will have to keep everything crossed and hope it goes ahead or else me won’t be pleased!!!!!

I shall be here on the 11th June 2006  — 2 years ago

They are opening the stadium with a concert and I can’t wait to go!
