Turn off at the visitor’s centre on B6318 and there will be a parking lot on your right. From there you can follow the wall as you hike up a crag. The view is amazing, the wall is preserved pretty well, and there’s a lovely lake right below the crag. I definitely recommend going here. over 3 years agoUntitled by XReturnToEnergiserXwell if im honest i said this place wasnt worth visiting. well thats just for me! i live in northumberland and have therefore visited various parts of hadrians wall to many times to count! if i was visiting the area then yes it probably be worth a vist though! over 5 years agoUntitled by onceuponahooptyThe Elliot clan were border reavers up until the time of the combined kingdom under James. And though they likely did not live near the wall while it was being built, I have a desire to see the land of my ancestors. over 6 years agoSee all 15 entries |
