Worth visiting!

The first time I went to this place

This is Greenwich’s version of the London Eye. It looks like it’s a temporary observation wheel, only based there in the summer (currently closes 28 September). It’s situated in front of the Old Royal Naval College.

I don’t know if it was the time of day that I got there (around 4pm), but there wasn’t much of a queue at all. You can just turn up and buy tickets. The wheel makes 3 rotations (or 4 in our case!) before stopping to let passengers on and off. The capsules seat about 6 people.

At the highest point of the wheel you can look west and see its bigger sister the London Eye and the dome of St. Paul’s Cathedral. You also get an interesting perspective of the Cutty Sark restoration project and Greenwich Pier.
