Canmore: Cross-country skiing and food! by mileleWe went to Canmore for two things: cross-country skiing and hoping for decent food. We got both. We rented skis at the Canmore Nordic center for several days running, which worked for us. Along with skiing there at the Canmore center, we also made it to Mt. Shark and to Lougheed National Park, both of which had groomed and mostly empty trails with sufficient snow to ski in March. Many of the trails at the Nordic center were closed due to insufficient snow. We also enjoyed our meals, particularly at Luna Blue, Zona’s Late Night Bistro, and Crazy Weed Kitchen. There was no top-roping, but the bouldering was significantly better than we’ve seen in the gyms around our own home. over 5 years agoFantastic place by mpinheirThis is a great place to stay and you can likely get a better deal in a hotel than you would get in Banff.
