Magens Bay

My sister and her husband were married on the beach here 15 years ago, and we went back last week for their anniversary. I was disappointed to see it is much more commercialized now than it was then (or than I remember)—there is an admission charge, and it was pretty crowded, and there were a couple of businesses set up along the beach. But it is still amazingly beautiful.

The thing I liked about this beach was that there were no hotels or shops right on the beach, it was just nature! I think the closest resort is a half mile away. It was not overcrowded when I was there so it was relatively peaceful and the snorkeling was amazing.

Megan’s Bay is one of the most amazing places i have ever been to. I advise anyone who is thinking about going to St. Thomas to visit Megas’s Bay. Its so beautiful places on this Earth.

i would have to say this is the most over rated beach ive been to in the caribbean.. u have to pay for the taxi – fine—then pay to get onto the beach—and its toooo small.

For the amount of cruise ships that dock any given day… the beach is too over crowded by all the passengers on the beach.

I mean the water is lovely—- but the water is nice all around the island…

I recommend not getting sucked into the commercialness of megans bay… and try another beach…..
