Worth visiting!
A great place to go for both visitors and residents...
The view is fantastic, day or night. The incline goes up the side of the hill to the top of Mt. Washington, where you look down at “The Point,” i.e., the origin of Pittsburgh, where the Allegheny and Monongahela Rivers join to form the Ohio River.
Another great view of Pittsburgh is to drive thru the Fort Pitt tunnels on eastbound I-376. The tunnel goes through Mount Washington. When you come out of the tunnel, you are on a bridge crossing the Monongahela River, and the sudden view of Pittsburgh is surprising and breath-taking, even when you are expecting it. You can see the incline and Station Square on your right, “The Point” and the stadiums to your left, and the tall buildings of the downtown area straight ahead. I always look forward to this when I go back to Pittsburgh.

Great view.
I’m embarrassed to admit that I thought this was a rollercoaster when I was 4, and screamed all the way to the top despite my mother’s attempts to cover my mouth.
