I was surprised how much this visit moved me. by Bill is in Washington, DC: Land of Opportunity, even for the ethical

I am, perhaps, a typical white man, who was oblivious to the race struggle of the mid 1960’s as I was young and not very wise.

It’s never too late to become more worldly, and to appreciate the struggle and the life work of Reverend King.

I went about twenty some years ago, and it was awesome; I got to go to the Center; got to see the grave and his birthplace right down on Auburn Avenue, and it was quite humbling to say the least. I want my children to see it too and plan to bring them one day.

Wow! Martin Luther King Jr. and Ben Carson are like my two male non-celeberity favorite people lolz. I really enjoyed going to the memorial place and will never forget it. If you go to his church I warning you (it is the SAME church he went to so it is kind of old). I believe the church now has a new location although the old site is still intact and getting visitors.

in the bathroom. Not used to get shocked at museums like that time, though.

Paying my respect by Abi_Demi

You wouldnt help but respect the man and his legacy and what he stood for. I went to have a feel for what it meant to be MLK in the 60s. I was challenged ’cos here was a man who died for what he believed.
