Natchitoches

This quaint little town is where Steel Magnolias (Julia Roberts) was filmed.

It has a terrific little book store, among my favorite finds in America. Eclectic & if I remember right, they have a cat that lives in the store.

There’s not much to do for the locals in this little college town (Go NSU Deamons!), but for a day’s stay, you can soak up lots of culture, history, and relaxation on the riverbank in this city crawling with historical beauty.
