Portree

I see I’m out of line in regarding Portree as not worth a visit – but on an island of really outstanding scenery I don’t think many would bother stopping here, if it weren’t the capital.

...though I saw very little and therefore can’t really speak overly much, since my stop here was brief, I think little more than a restroom and gas break. Another visit would allow me to say more, though, and I wouldn’t mind making one!

I stayed in a nice little B&B in Portree for my 2 nights on the Isle of Skye. Portree is a great town, not large but has everything you need, several nice little shops, a few places to eat. Its on a hill overlooking the water, and has some great views. I need to go back!
