Worth visiting!
Why I recommend this place to visitors
The food is fresh, local and well prepared, the ambiance is cheerful and welcoming and the service is friendly and attentive.
I had dinner here this week with friends and the extremely nice owner, Christina recognized me from my last visit & review here – THAT was very exciting and I felt like a mini celebrity!!
We shared the homemade breads, olive oil, Maine and Italian cheeses and meats including gorgonzola, herb crusted goat cheese, parmigiano, grissini wrapped in prosciutto and little slices of salami – an excellent start.
We continued with potato and rosemary pizza and the 4 cheese which had a very simple red sauce and chunks of blue cheese with the 3 others. There were 3 special pasta choices and we decided on the tagliatelli with pesto and an incredible tortellini stuffed with prosciutto in a mushroom cream sauce. There was a side of sauteeed fresh veggies – zucchini, corn, tomatoes which my mom would call a “jambotte”.
When we spoke with Christina, she sent over a plate of desserts – a moist and silky tiramisu, biscotti which we soaked in coffee, an excellent walnut torte, lemony blueberry canolli and a blueberry tart. They have a dessert pizza of mascarpone cheese and blueberries on a brioche crust which was unavailable so I guess I will need to return SOON.
Check this place out – you will love it!

The first time I went to this place
Some friends invited me out tonight to Paolina’s Way. They RAVED about the homemade pasta and brick oven pizza. They teased me with tales of gelato and fresh cannoli. And then they had an emergency and could not make it.
Was I daunted? Did that stop me from ordering a glass of chianti, the breadcrumb and pine nut stuffed artichoke from a local farm served with fresh parmigiano regiano and lemon slices? No it did not.
I also had the potato and rosemary pizza that had shredded potato and a paper thin crust. I could only manage 1 slice and tried without success to trade a slice with the table next to me (they had prosciutto but were frightened by potato on pizza – Philistines!).
And yes – you could probably guess that I ended with a silver cup filled with a scoop of fresh Maine blueberry gelato.
Tomorrow I will drop the extra pizza for for my friends to enjoy!
