Saint-Amour

Well, I’ve actually been here 3 times, while there really isn’t anything to see or do in this tiny town. It really is the name that draws people to it I think.
First visit was with my family, on the way to Spain – Saint-Amour lies close to the highway and my dad stopped due to the peculiar name of the town – and we stayed at the town’s camp site. Years later I was on the same highway with my boyfriend, travelling to the south of France, and when spotting it on the map I told them of the town and he insisted on going there – that name again :). Two years later we stayed there again, since we knew the camp site was cheap (11€ for 2 persons, tent + car).
Just another sleepover spot next to the highway, but you’ll get to tell people you’ve been in Saint-Amour. I wonder whether many people get married there.
