approaching skellig is kind of a trip into the movie of hitchcok of the birds,thousands of them flying in circles around,and this little stairs to the top only for braves!!If you are very lucky you can see some dolphins,and the second time i was there was at the sunset and we saw whales!!!

My visit to these islands was one of the most amazing experiences i’ve ever had. The thought of anyone actually living on the islands is kind of mind-blowing.

looks like a sunken gothic catherdral... by adamg

covered in moss and carved out steps from the monks. this ranks atop the list of fav places i’ve been. note: i’m as non-religious as they come, but this place was wildy spiritual and eerie.
