Nice church by DJStroky
This was a pretty cool church. It was all fairly new and well organized. I had watched them build over the past few years a big addition to their church and that is where they held the service. It’s all really modern with nice northwestern US architecture and even a balcony.
The message was again really good and was from James 3:1-12. This sermon was basically saying “Hold your tongue” and to watch what comes out of your mouth. The pastor really got into the message and said that it was hard for him to do this sermon since he said he loves to talk. And he did love to talk, and fast. Nonetheless he got the point across well.
This was a pretty big church with perhaps 300 people in the 10:45am service with 2 other services that day. Again there were people of all ages there and also I was happy to see a bicycle rack outside with two or three other bikes besides mine. There was an array of extracurriculars with events from a Healthcare Professionals’ Small Group to a weekend bike trip and a mission to someplace far away I can’t remember on the side.
So yeah, this was a pretty typical church for the number of members they had. And as usual with a church of this size, all the real connection with people and deep stuff happens outside of the service.
