Puerto Varas

Nice little quiet town with a few good restaurants, nice landscapes and a cassino (best part as far as I’m concerned).

This is a lovely town. There are some nice reasonably priced restaurants on the lake. There is one not far from the main square along the waterfront…it has umbrellas out the front and the name completely escapes me. Great food and reasonable. Nice handicraft market near the casino (has some bizarre forms of blackjack and poker…check the rules before you sit down…..they do not run on American rules, so dont get mad if they wont let you double or split…this is their way!) Easy-ish access to Osorno Volcano and Pertohue Falls. The views from the lake are stunning.
