Füssen

I was in Füssen today and I GOT ROBBED !!!

lost 100 eur, my train tickets, my ID and student cards though gratefully the robber didnt take my passport :(

so this trip was NOT WORTH IT

I voted for this place as one of the new seven wonders of the world. The castles are enchanting, and I’d love to see them up close one day.

2005 short sightseeing

Lovely castles.

Both of Ludwig’s castles were well worth visiting. They were absolutely breath-taking. The tour guides really knew their stuff and were very friendly. I very much enjoyed the Orthodox influence found in the artwork and furniture in Neuschwanstein.

Great break from high paced city travel- set amongst the foothills of the Alps, two castles sit atop the cliffs providing great views and some great photo taking opportunities. Bavaria is like a fairy tale, outside of the larger cities that is.

The countryside here was simply breathtaking. Lakes in every direction, checkerboard farms stretching across the valley, mountains backing up the other side… It was so beautiful, it makes me want to cry thinking of it. The castle was pretty cool, too. But for me it was eclipsed by the natural beauty. I can’t say much about the town. We had a somewhat lousy lunch offered by our tour company, and were pretty much in, up to the castle, and back out. But I’m definitely going back as soon as I can, and getting pictures of my favorite lanscape on earth.
