A review of this place: Mi Tierra
I’ve lived in SA since I was 5 years old, and while I can not complain about the quality of Mi Tierra’s food (it is pretty good) I can say that it is over-priced and over-rated. In a place like San Antonio awesome mexican restaurants are around every corner! Yes, a lot of it is “Tex-Mex”- very Americanized, fattening and delicious, but in my opinion Mi Tierra is just one of those places that you wait too long and pay too much for what you get. If I’m looking for moderately priced Tex-Mex, I go to Cha-Cha’s (on Bandera or in the Medical Center). As for inexpensive Tex-Mex, I would say just try any little restaurant in town! As far as “been in the business for years” Don Pedro’s is good (and cheap!) over of SW Military, downtown over off Frio street there’s a great inexpensive place that has a huge neon parrot (there also pretty good), and I’ve always been a fan of Tink-a-Taco (but they’re right next door to my house- haha!) Anyway, I hope some of ya’ll branch out on your next vacation into town! Good luck and enjoy SA!

Fun local favourite.
My family has been going here for years. It is my second favourite restruant in the Alamo City. Casa Rio is my first. Mi Tierra uses good, fresh ingredients in their recipes, delicious! Makes me wish i were there eating chicken enchiladas right now

Tourist trap, but fun
And they serve a great sopapilla in the shape of Texas. Don’t miss it!
Tip your mariachis!
