I finally went to the Holywood Bowl!

It was the very last night of the Genesis reunion tour on 10/13 2007. I loved it. It was a historical night at a historical place, and I’ll never forget it. :o)

I’ve been here twice; once for classical music, and the other time for a something I cant remember…..

I’ve always wanted to go here, and now I’ve finally got tickets in my hand! I’m going to see Genesis on October 13th.

October is still pretty far off, so who knows… maybe I’ll go before then as well…

last time: os mutantes, flaming lips, thievery corp. next time: band of horses, decemberists.

Get the super seats or box seats. The rest of the seating consists of bum-numbing wooden benches. Bring a sweater too – it gets cold after dark.

My very first date was here. We heard an incredible performance of Tchaikovsky’s Piano Concerto #1.

I used t live down the street from here on Franklin. I used to see people walk to the bowl but had never been there my self while I was living so close. When the Who played it was the biggest crowd of people I had ever seen walking down Franklin after the show was over.

It was not until i moved into the Valley that I finally went to see a show here. I’ve been back 5 times since. If you go, I recommend bringing a cooler of food and some wine. Well worth it.

I saw him on Friday here! He totally rocked the house and no! I was not the youngest person there! There were folks in their 20s rocking out to Tom Jones! He’s teh sexbomb!!!! ;)

I saw Prarie Home Companion here earlier this summer – fun place. You can take a picnic with you, and sit on the hill above the bowl.
