Write an entry Entries about this placeThat's my name too! by courtenayI went for one reason – to take my picture in front of the “Courtenay Welcomes You” sign. :) over 6 years agoHometown by RichardMy family moved to Courtenay when I was one year old, and I lived there until I graduated from high school. It’s an excellent place to live and grow up, as well as an excellent place to have kids, with lots of outdoor activities with lakes, oceans, skiing at Mt. Washington and trails and even more. It is probably not big enough for single twentysomethings, which is why they’ve moved to Victoria, Vancouver or Alberta. Comox makes a good stop when sailing through the Georgia Straight, and definitely check out 5th street for cool small-town shops. over 6 years agoThe Vancouver Island Folkfest (Courtenay,BC) by freespiritLast year I had an amazing time. It’s relaxing, fun, and full of stuff to do (a market for shopping, and food stands for meals). Perfect for music lovers. There’s Yoga in the mornings and performances all day and night, plus workshops for dancing, and artsy stuff all day. I suggest camping over the entire weekend. It was so much that I’m coming back this year over 6 years ago |
