The last time I went to this place
2002. We went in the summer with some friends. It was odd, but somehow the campus offers rooms to rent for people who don’t go to the school. I am starting to remember now, and I want to say it was a student run hotel. Pretty cool. We went in the spring-summer time. I remember it was very warm. The campus and architecture were very impressive. We headed to a couple college bars and finally Eskimoe Joes. The food was awesome and I got so drunk I couldn’t walk. Awesome time. I would love to go back here!

A review of this place: I lived there for several years
Cost of living is very reasonable. Amount of stuff to do in town was reasonable for a college kid or grown-up, but probably excruciatingly dull for teenagers and younger. The weather was, in my opinion, beautiful, with nice hot summers, and winters that would bring 3 or 4 shallow snowfalls a year. The snow would stick around for a few days and then melt—it would stay long enough to be fun, but not so long as to become a hassle.
That said, Stillwater seems to have more than its fair share of litter, and that drove me crazy. I don’t know if it’s because it’s so windy, or what, but there is always litter on the sides of the roads and all over parking lots. I found that really depressing.
When I first moved there, I was somewhat terrified by the rental properties—they were all ALL ALL ALL dumps. However, by the time I moved away, some new things had been built, and there seemed to be a trend by landlords to spruce up their properties.

A review of this place
Lived here for 5 years while going to OSU. It’s a small college town but we always had lots of fun. The first party I went to there was a punk and a redneck cowboy having a conversation about physics. I thought to myself, yeah I like this town. Lots of diverse cultures and people.
