The communities are awesome and the fishing is GREAT! Plus the beach is definately somewhere you can take the lil kids :)

My inlaws move to Mackay last year. Been there a few times, and its been pretty hot. Not somewhere I would want to live. We are visiting them this christmas, so its going to be a real stinka. Lucky they have air cond. and a pool.

Very hot! by Sammie

Visited in January a couple of years ago (the height of Queensland Summer) and found it very hot :) Nice place though, I really enjoyed the time we spent there.
