Tamworth

country music festival in Janusary is a great time to visit, there are a few other festivals on throughout the year as well, but apart from that, it’s one of the largest inland cities in Australia….but not a huge amount of touristy things to do

Visited in July and it was quite cold. Wandered around town a little. Visited the Hogsbreath Cafe, a tudor pub, the Sunday markets, the RSL and the Town Hall.

Determined that I am definitely a warm weather person!

A visit to the wax museum might keep you interested, but other than that, Tamworth is a boring country town. The New England Highway (To Brisbane) is the most boring road in Australia.
