Big Ben & The Houses Of Parliament

I went to watch the House of Commons on the last day parliament was in session. It was cool to see government in action and it was actually quite entertaining as well.

Only U.K. citizens are allowed in Big Ben, so that’s the only part I didn’t do. The tour lasts about an hour and fifteen minutes. I got my ticket online, so that saved some time. Everything was very impressive. Do this if you can.

there’s no more famous sight in london. plus you have people going about their business as normal and tourists standing in the middle of the sidewalk staring upwards with cameras. well i too was one of those tourists so i didn’t feel quite so bad.

nice contrast of two worlds when you think about it: those on vacation and those who would rather be on vacation.
