West Hartford

Great place to grow up

It’s a nice place to live, if you have kids—it’s got a great school system, especially elementary schools. It’s green and suburban and has a pretty nice shopping district to hang out in for the teenagers (who tend to get bored with it, but objectively…)

However, unless you have a significant other who lives there, there’s really not much to do on a VISIT. Most of the attractions of WH are in Hartford itself. Or if you’re into the rural part of Connecticut, head out further into Avon or something.
