    Here is the pamphlet I got for Moulin Rouge this past December.

    Soirée Dîner-Spectacle (7pm)
    Dinner and Show + 1/2 Champagne
    Menu: French Cancan = 145 euro
    Menu: Toulouse-Lautrec = 160 euro
    Menu: Belle Epoque = 175 euro

    Show Only + 1/2 Champagne
    9pm = 99 euro
    11pm = 89 euro

    Just incase anyone was wondering the prices…

    Punk parisian boys were spitting into the air blowing thing in front of the Moulin Rouge, and some landed on my husband’s jacket while we were sitting there. If you know Paul, then you know he could’ve flipped out at the fact that someone else’s fluids were anywhere on his things. He covers his drinks if someone around him coughs for heaven’s sake…

    So, he walked up to them and started asking for their jackets, pants, euros, anything to make them realize he was upset at their shenanigans. They were tattling on their friend who did it, saying to take his watch or belt. Hopefully, they got the idea that they can’t just do stuff like that and have no repercussions…

    Moulin Rouge is very expensive for their dinner and show. Just a show is like 99 euro, so be prepared to spend a lot of money to get in. We didn’t go, even though I wanted to, but I realized we could better spend that money elsewhere. Perhaps next time, when we’re richer, we’ll splurge.

    the moulin was about 2 blocks up from where i stayed. best area in paris – a little touristy, but i loved it here… be prepared to spend some cash – it is not a cheap show!!!!

    from my blog on the night i visited the moulin:

    i was seated at the very front, at my table was a retired couple from staten island, a couple from new zealand, a couple from england and one silly old man from australia on a world tour. my dinner consisted of: foie gras, smoked salmon, baguette, toast, veal in gravy with cabbage and endives, potatoes, and some sort of crazy flan with icecream, peaches, bananas and liqueur on top. i proceeded to guzzle an entire bottle of champagne all alone!! and raise holy hell with the woman from staten island (her name was paulette. awesome!) after the huge meal, then it was time for the show… absolutely beautiful. i guess in one sense it was a dinner theatre show, but you can tell these girls (and guys) have been hand picked from all around the world. (Boobs everywhere, by the way) beautiful people, flawless dancing, acrobatics, ventriloquism, magic, miniature ponies (??!!) and La Grande Can-Can du Moulin!! and you know only i would tear up at the can-can. i could just picture my precious Henri de Toulouse Lautrec hiding in the corner, doodling his masterpieces. it makes me choke up even now to know that i was in this beautiful magical place full of such history…. when the show let out, there was a line of about 300 people waiting to get in. apparently sunday nights are the big nights in Montmartre and the Pigalle. it sounds like the NC State Fair out there.

    A tip I have about this place  — 1 year ago

    Most of the comments say says everthing. It’s expensive, so I couldn’t get in. But there is an airblowing place in front of it (drain inlet?) It was fun to stand on it and have photos with Moulin-Rouge on the background.

    It was my last night in France, and they had the show Faerie. Being a fairy lover, I thought, hey, why not. By the way, no fairy references in the whole show.

    It was a good show, a good dinner, and all that. But honestly, it wasn’t that great. Definitely a do-it-once and be done sort of thing. But I’m glad I did it, glad to say I was there.

    And for the girl that asked, no elephant in sight either. I believe that was a set created elsewhere.
