The first time I went to this place  — 2 months ago

    Worth visiting!

I went on a camping trip with some friends towards the end of summer 2006. We camped at Ma & Pa’s RV Park and Campground. It was a nice place because it was so close to the beach. You walked for about 2 minutes and you were in the water. I loved it.

I had so much fun with my friends there. Most of us were in the same Literature class that coming school year, so we lied on the beach and read for a few days; and played in the water of course!

It was a great trip that I won’t soon forget.

And This Is Why I Associate Texas with Oversized Junk Food  — 10 months ago

    Worth visiting!

My family used to go down for the Kite Festival when I was a kid. The booths during this time are awesome. Best sweet corn I’ve ever had for $1 per cob. Plus teriyaki chicken on a stick, vanilla cotton candy, elephant ears, and everything else weird kids like.

The last time I was here I got a “Texas donut” the size of my head for $1.45 at a bakery on the main street.

Why I recommend this place to visitors  — 1 year ago

    Worth visiting!

Growing up, my family went to Long Beach every summer. It has quite a lot of charm.
Long Beach is the only town I can think of without a Starbucks. Most of the places here are locally owned, which I like. The ice cream shop across the street from Cranberry Castle (I can’t remember what it’s called) has really good ice cream. And everyone must visit Marsh’s museum to see Jake the Alligator Man. It’s required.

    World's Longest Beach  — 2 years ago

    Worth visiting!

I go to Long Beach fairly often. The busy kite and sand castle fesitvals are a good time. The boardwalk, amusement park, saltwater taffy, and beach are awesome. We spent the 4th of July here last year and it was the best beach party ever! In fact I want to return here for the 4th every year that I can…
Nearby lighthouses (at Cape Disappointment) and the Willapa Bay Wildlife Refuge are good side trips.
